Life Expectancy

I had to get the Dr to fill in a form for me today for that I needed to be completed by my medical team and stamped with and official stamp.

below is one of the questions and reply. It really hits home, when you see it written down, even though I’m under no illusion of how serious my prognosis is.

  1. Ouch :(

I've just gotten some good news, but even at that I know that this is a very nasty, sneaky, persistent cancer, and that I could easily be very sick in a very short time... and I have been making a point of talking about that with the family.

The above image has got to be very depressing/stressful. On the other hand... you never know, right? Stay strong, friend.

  5. Oh gosh Sean. I'm sorry you even had to see that. For what it's worth, I wish I had a dollar for how many times docs have been wrong about those type of GUESSES.
The bottom line is.....it ain't up to them!!!

  7. So on the positive side, there's also a chance that it's more than that. Not one of us knows how strong we'd be in this situation but with what you've shown so far I'm certain you'll stay as strong as possible and want to prove them wrong haha.

  8. Sean, I really can't imagine reading such a prognosis, though I believe we would all live life a bit differently if we actually knew when we would breathe our last breath here on earth. The truth is, none of us really knows, except God himself. Psalm 90:12 says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Praying for wisdom as you move forward and explore alternatives. Keep believing, keep hoping, keep trusting in God to carry you.

  9. Life is for the living Sean and isn't that you. Live for today for tomorrow will take care of its'elf. Long life to you it hasn't happened yet you have the T/shirt to prove it. Just keep going as all of us do.
Love and best wishes as always

  10. Average life expectancy is just that...an average. It doesn't take into account all of the people that live 10-20 years with the disease. Try not to focus on a time line. Just enjoy each day. That is my plan. Only God can call us home...when HE is ready.
